Notice of Amendments to
“Supplemental Terms and Conditions for Faster Payment System” of
Chong Hing Bank Limited (“the Bank”)

 

From 6 December 2020, the Bank will support the registration of Addressing Service with Hong Kong Identity Card number . With effect from 6 December 2020 (the “Effective Date”), please be informed that the Bank’s “Supplemental Terms and Conditions for Faster Payment System” will be amended.

We summarise the amendments to the “Supplemental Terms and Conditions for Faster Payment System” below. We have underlined the newly added words in the amended clauses for your easy reference.

Amended Clauses:

1.3

"Proxy ID"
means the identifiers which may be accepted by HKICL for registration in the Addressing Service to identify the account of a customer of a Participant, including the mobile phone number or email address or Hong Kong Identity Card number of the customer, or the FPS Identifier.

5.2

Proxy ID
Any Proxy ID to be registered by you for the Addressing Service must satisfy any applicable requirements imposed by HKICL from time to time. For example, HKICL may require the mobile phone number or email address or Hong Kong Identity Card number to be registered as Proxy ID to be the same number or address registered by you as contact information on the Bank’s records at the relevant time.

The above changes shall be binding on you if you retain or continue the banking relationship with us after the Effective Date. If you do not wish to accept the above changes, please refer to the applicable terms and conditions and let us know. We may however not be able to continue to provide services to you if the above changes are not accepted.
