Notice of Bank Card Service Updates
To further enhance the quality and efficiency of our services, Chong Hing Bank (the “Bank”)’s cards (including but not limited to UnionPay Chong Hing Card, Chong Hing Card (Reminbi) and Chong Hing Credit Card) will have the following service updates:
1. Changing of Service Provider(s) for Bank Card Embossing and Personalisation Services
The embossing and personalisation services of the Bank’s cards have started to be outsourced by batches to service provider(s) located in Hong Kong and/or outside Hong Kong, e.g. Mainland China (the “Service Provider(s)”) from 2 Jul 2021.
It is always the policy of the Bank to fully comply with the data protection principles and relevant provisions of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486) during the disclosure or transfer of any personal data. The Bank has controls in place to monitor on a continuous basis the performance of the appointed Service Provider(s) in the course of services engaged and to ensure proper safeguards are established for protecting the integrity and confidentiality of customer information. The appointed Services Provider(s) will also apply stringent controls to safeguard the confidentiality and security of customer data during the bank card embossing and personalisation process. Please be informed that customers’ personal data may also be disclosed or provided to any person (including authorities in Hong Kong and/or outside Hong Kong) to whom the Bank or the appointed Services Provider(s) is under an obligation to make disclosure under any applicable laws or regulations, or under and for the purposes of any guidelines issued by competent regulator(s) or other authorities (including but not limited to government departments, judiciary or tax authority(ies).
2. Amendments to the Daily Cash Withdrawal Transaction Limit of the Bank’s Cards
With effect from 31 August 2021 (“Effective Date”), the Bank will amend the ATM daily cash withdrawal limit of all the Bank’s cards, including UnionPay Chong Hing Card, Chong Hing Card (Reminbi) and Chong Hing Credit Card linked with bank account(s) from HKD10,000 equivalent to HKD20,000 equivalent. For details, please refer to the table below.

Please note that the amended daily transaction limit of the Bank’s cards shall be binding on you from the Effective Date unless you terminate the relevant card(s) with the Bank before the Effective Date. If you continue to use any of such services on or after the Effective Date, you will be deemed to have accepted the above amendments.
